Westbrooke Glen Apartments is looking for an experienced, HVAC-certified Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shawnee, Kansas.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in solving problems, completing repairs correctly, and providing residents with prompt, professional service. You’ll help maintain apartment homes, community systems, amenities, and grounds while working alongside a team that values accountability, craftsmanship, and growth.
What You’ll Do
- Complete resident service requests accurately and professionally
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and apartment equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliance, and mechanical issues
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Inspect and maintain community buildings, amenities, and grounds
- Document completed work and communicate clearly with residents and team members
- Assist with after-hours emergency maintenance through the rotating on-call schedule
- Follow company safety practices and applicable codes
- Help wherever needed to keep the community operating at a high level
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of two years of maintenance or HVAC service experience
- Current HVAC certification or license
- Multifamily or apartment-maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
- Ability to read technical information and use standard diagnostic tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic hand and power tools
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support a team
- Professional, dependable, and resident-focused attitude
